Tropical Storm Dolly is on deck for the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, representing the fourth named storm on the World Meteorological Organization's designated list for the year. Following Arthur, Bertha, and Cristobal, the name will be officially assigned once an organizing tropical disturbance or depression in the Atlantic basin achieves sustained winds of at least 39 mph. As coastal communities and forecasters enter the climatological peak of the season in late August and September, meteorological agencies remain vigilant, continuously tracking tropical waves emerging from the coast of Africa and disturbances across the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico for signs of Dolly's eventual development.
