The Patriot Polar Plunge returns to the icy shores of Sea Girt next weekend, inviting participants to take a chilly dip in the Atlantic Ocean to support local families in need. Organized as a benefit for Monmouth County’s veteran housing initiatives and local community programs, the event brings together residents and first responders for a morning of high-energy community spirit. Beyond the thrill of the splash, the gathering serves as a vital fundraiser, ensuring that those who served our country receive the housing stability and support they deserve within our local neighborhood. info

The GoFundMe for 6 year old James Bitzer has raised over $15,000 in just the last week. We’re going to keep this up to encourage as many as we can and to show the Bitzer’s they’re not alone.

👩‍🍳 Culinary Center Open House in Asbury Park

The Culinary Education Center of Monmouth County is opening its doors to aspiring chefs and hospitality professionals next week (2/7). This collaborative program between the Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD) and Brookdale Community College provides a unique pathway for students to earn college credits while gaining hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facility located in Asbury Park, meet with instructors, and learn about the diverse curriculum that covers everything from classical cooking techniques to pastry arts and dining room management. The event aims to showcase how the center prepares students for high-demand roles in the thriving Jersey Shore culinary scene.
