🎸 BORN TO RUN: 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!

August 25th will mark the 50th Anniversary of the release of Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run album. Let that one sink in for a minute. To commemorate the half-century milestone the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University will host a September celebration. Tickets to the celebration will go on sale Wednesday 7/16. It’s billed as a multi-day event including a Tuesday Night Record Club on 9/2, a special viewing of rare footage of the making of Born to Run on 9/5, the main event symposium on 9/6, walking tours where The Boss lived on 9/7, and more. Tickets will be $150 and you can get them here starting at noon on 7/16.

🎬️ FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA AT COUNT BASIE

On Sunday July 20th we have a pretty amazing opportunity to spend an evening with a living legend; five-time Academy Award winning director Francis Ford Coppola. Coppola, renowned for masterpieces like "The Godfather," "Apocalypse Now," and "The Outsiders," is bringing his latest film "Megalopolis" to the Count Basie Center for the Arts. He’ll be presenting it as he says it’s meant to be seen, “in a large venue, with a crowd and followed by intense interactive discussions about the future.”

At 86 years old, Coppola’s impact on the world of film over his more than 60 year career is undeniable. His films are widely regarded as some of the greatest in the history of the art form. So when an opportunity like this comes along, we’re not letting it pass by. We already bought our tickets. Come join us by getting yours here.

FOR A CAUSE

Rising Treetops at Oakhurst serves children and adults with special needs through their summer sleep away camp, year-round overnight respite (planned and emergency) and day and respite care programs. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with special needs, including autism and physical and intellectual disabilities, and provide respite for their families through a year-round camp experience based in Monmouth County, NJ.

For the 19^th summer, friends and supporters of Rising Treetops at Oakhurst will gather near their camp in Monmouth County, NJ for a cocktail party to help raise funds for their overnight camp program serving children and adults with disabilities.

Personally, we’ve had a couple pretty terrible experiences with some of the bigger name plumbing companies. When we found A-General, it was like a gift. They’re local (Farmingdale) and family-owned, so you’re dealing with really nice, fair people. But they’re also big enough for 24/7 emergency response so you can count on them for literally anything. Every experience with A-General has been A+!!
