The township of Hazlet is taking a proactive approach to community improvement with the launch of a new cleanup initiative that supports local nonprofits. Through the program, eligible organizations are invited to participate in neighborhood and public space cleanups while receiving mini-grants from the township to support their missions. We got the exclusive on Local Smoke’s Easter egg hunt!! From this past Tuesday (3/31) through 4/10 Local Smoke will be hiding eggs filled with prizes in and around all four of their locations-Red Bank, Sea Girt, Cookstown, and Neptune. Guests will have through 4/10 to find and redeem their prizes!

Burger chain Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is continuing its Monmouth County push with a new outpost planned for Freehold Township, targeting a summer opening. Known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers, shoestring fries, and rich frozen custard, Freddy’s has been steadily expanding throughout the region, and the upcoming Freehold location is part of a broader growth strategy that could bring multiple restaurants to the county.
