Monmouth County’s youth arts movement is taking a massive leap forward this Friday, July 10, as downtown Asbury Park transforms into an expansive, collaborative canvas for the Teen Arts regional showcase. This inspiring initiative brings together local students and professional creators for a packed day of interactive workshops, public gallery displays, and live performances across multiple prominent community venues. High schoolers from across the county will have the unique opportunity to dive into specialized creative fields, including figure drawing at Art629 Gallery, abstract sculpture building at Over the Moon Art Studios, storytelling for the stage at The Showroom, and even high-energy physical performance training with the Trenton Circus Squad at the historic Carousel House.

The youth arts showcase represents a major milestone for local arts education, successfully bridging the gap between classroom instruction and professional, community-faced exhibition. By providing regional teenagers with a platform at established venues like the Konscious Community Center and the Parlor Gallery, the program validates their creative voices and fosters an invaluable sense of community belonging. On Saturday, July 11, the weekend circuit launches with early-morning arrivals at the Highlands Farmers Market in Huddy Park (8:30 AM–2:00 PM) and the Hazlet Farmers Market on Union Avenue (9:30 AM–1:30 PM), followed closely by artisanal makers gathering at the Matawan Fresh Farmers & Makers Market on Broad Street (10:00 AM–2:00 PM).
