It's Here: Pique's New Caffeine-Free Afternoon Energy

I quit my afternoon coffee. Not because I wanted to — because I found something better.

You know that wall you hit every day around 2–3 PM? I used to just accept it as the cost of doing anything. Another coffee, a quick spike, then the crash — and somehow I'd still feel dehydrated by dinner.

Then I tried X·E Fountain, Pique's brand-new electrolyte energy drink, and I genuinely wasn't ready for how good "no crash" could feel.

No caffeine jitters. No 4 PM slump. Just clean, steady energy that actually hydrates me instead of draining me. It's built with a premium Vitamin B Complex for natural cellular energy, Magnesium Malate + Taurate for real focus, and a full electrolyte blend that makes it feel like a treat, not a chore.

The cucumber-celery-lime flavor is so crisp and refreshing — it's basically stolen my afternoon coffee slot completely.

Good morning Monmouth County! We have one more weekend before the start of the new school year. And if you’re at a stage in life where that is not a concern of yours, well then Good…For…You!

Let’s Gooo!!

👑 Miss New Jersey Kat Lengyel

Middletown native Katarina “Kat” Lengyel captured the prestigious crown of Miss New Jersey USA, capping off a remarkable journey of persistence and dedication. A graduate of Middletown High School South who holds a master’s degree in accounting from New York University, the 25-year-old previously placed as a first runner-up twice before clinching the state title on her fourth attempt. Beyond her academic and competitive achievements, Lengyel is the founder and executive director of Inspire Dance Team, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing inclusive dance and social opportunities for teenagers and neurodiverse individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

🍝 What is Ferragosto?

Ferragosto, celebrated on August 15, is Italy's most anticipated summer public holiday, with roots tracing back to the ancient Roman festival Feriae Augusti, established by Emperor Augustus in 18 BC. Originally held on August 1 to give agricultural laborers and draft animals a well-deserved rest after the harvest, the holiday was filled with patron visits, flower-adorned beasts of burden, and empire-wide horse races. Centuries later, the Catholic Church moved the date to August 15 so the secular festivities would align with the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, establishing a tradition that remains a public holiday across numerous countries today.

The modern tradition of traveling during Ferragosto took shape during the 1920s Fascist regime, which introduced heavily discounted "popular trains" so working-class families could afford trips to the seaside, mountains, and cultural capitals. Today, the holiday has expanded from a single day into the peak summer getaway period, during which major Italian cities largely empty out. Instead of working, locals shut down businesses to escape the urban heat, flocking to coastlines and countryside retreats to enjoy barbecues, outdoor leisure, and time with family and friends.
