📰 NEWS
🥊 Fight For James Bitzer
We are so thankful for our growing community here at Monmouth Buzz. As we grow, so does our ability to use this platform to serve one another. And we have every intention of doing so. If you or someone you know is ever in need we hope you will let us know. Together, all things are possible.
James Bitzer, our neighbor and friend, is six years old and has been battling Stage 4 Neuroblastoma for the past three years. James is an adorable boy who loves to surf and skateboard and should be looking forward to a snow day off of school tomorrow. But as of December, Memorial Sloan Kettering has exhausted their available treatment options for James, leaving the Bitzer family in an unimaginable situation.
Thankfully, they’ve identified a potentially life-saving clinical trial for James in Ventura California at Progenbiome. The trial however, comes at a significant out-of-pocket expense of $20,000 per month. No family should have to endure what the Bitzer’s have and continue to. But there truly is hope and peace in the comfort of friends. So, we are appealing to you, our growing community of friends and neighbors, to please help James in any way you can.
The link to the GoFundMe is below and has more information about James and the clinical trial.

🍔 FOOD & 🍹 DRINK
🫖 Social Graces Tea Service
The Social Graces Tea Service at Oasis TLC offers a delightful prix fixe experience featuring tea, scones with homemade clotted cream and jam, assorted desserts, and three distinct sandwiches made with farm-fresh, seasonal ingredients, with gluten-free options available upon request. With seatings at 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM for a suggested donation of $30 per person, this program provides a vital vocational learning environment for their interns to master food preparation and service skills.
If you’re not familiar with Oasis TLC, their history is a journey that began in 2000 with its sister organization, I.M.P.A.C.T., which focused on enhancing public school programs and raising awareness for children with autism. As these children approached adulthood, the mission evolved into a dream of creating farmstead communities, leading to the incorporation of OASIS tlc (Ongoing Autistic Success in Society) as a 501(c)(3) public charity in 2007. Through the tireless support of local government, the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, and NJDEP Green Acres, the organization launched a horticultural program and successfully closed on its first farm in 2011. Today, the facility serves as a central hub for a transitional program for young adults, rooted in the philosophy that a peaceful, nature-based setting provides a therapeutic work environment where individuals with autism can find fulfillment. Ultimately, OASIS tlc aims to foster social connectedness and interdependence, empowering its participants to teach the community about conservation, nutrition, and sustainable living while realizing the common ground and human potential shared by all.
