🦷 Brookdale Partnership Expands Free Dental Care
Brookdale Community College and the Parker Family Health Center have joined forces to establish New Jersey’s first free dental clinic located on a community college campus. Situated in the Wilbur Ray Building on Brookdale’s Lincroft campus, this landmark facility is designed to bridge the healthcare gap for uninsured and under-resourced residents of Monmouth County, including veterans and seniors. Supported by over $1.1 million in state and private grants, the clinic is currently undergoing renovations and is slated to begin serving the public by mid-2026.
Beyond providing essential extractions and cleanings to those in need, the partnership serves as a "living classroom" for the next generation of healthcare professionals. The clinic will offer direct clinical experience for students in Brookdale’s Dental Assistant and Dental Radiology programs, as well as its new Dental Hygiene certification. By integrating community service with workforce development, the initiative ensures that students gain hands-on training while simultaneously addressing a critical shortage of affordable dental care in the region.
🎨 Fourth Graders Invited to Celebrate County Pride
Fourth-grade students across Monmouth County are being invited to participate in the annual “My County” poster contest. The program encourages students to creatively illustrate what makes their community special—from parks and beaches to historic landmarks and local traditions. County officials say the contest helps young residents build civic pride while learning more about the communities they call home. info

Monmouth County Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services will host a resource fair on March 25th at the Manalapan Library. The fair is designed to connect older adults and caregivers with valuable local services.
