🏥 New RWJBarnabas Hospital in Tinton Falls
RWJBarnabas Health’s plans to build a 252-bed modern acute care hospital at the Vogel Medical Campus in Tinton Falls advanced on Friday after the New Jersey Department of Health deemed the system's certificate of need application complete, allowing the project to move forward to the next phase of review. This proposed plan involves relocating Monmouth Medical Center’s hospital license, along with key services like surgery, inpatient care, and labor and delivery, to the new facility, which is slated to open by 2032 and is strategically located five miles from the current site for improved regional access.
The existing Long Branch campus of Monmouth Medical Center will undergo renovations and continue to provide essential services, including a full emergency department, critical behavioral health services, outpatient surgical care, and overnight observation beds.

A brand new eatery has taken over the last remaining Perkins location in Monmouth County. Hangar 36 opened earlier earlier this month and is already getting great BUZZ from the foodies. It’s a modern, aviation-themed diner located in the Airport Plaza, serving an extensive menu of classic American comfort food alongside Italian and Mexican-inspired dishes, available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant features a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with themed décor and offers a wide range of popular items like burgers, skillets, omelettes, and specialty dishes such as "Pork Roll Egg and Cheese Sliders" on pancakes, as well as dinner entrees like pot roast and chicken parmesan. They also have gluten-free options.
Big bonus…Hangar 36 is BYO!! They’re open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and 8am to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday. They also offer delivery via Grubhub and DoorDash.
