Public access to critical financial and educational resources has expanded significantly this week as the Monmouth County Library-Headquarters branch in Manalapan announced it is now a member of the Candid Funding Information Network. Through this new initiative, local residents, students, and nonprofit organizations can gain free on-site entry to premier databases such as GuideStar and the Foundation Directory, which are essential for securing grants, finding scholarships, and researching charitable transparency. By providing these high-level research tools that are typically restricted behind expensive paywalls, the library is empowering the community to foster local growth and philanthropy more effectively. info

Community wellness is taking center stage in Tinton Falls as the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County continues its fourth annual "Layers of Wellness" winter clothing drive through January 9, 2026. This year’s initiative is specifically designed to support local veterans by benefiting Soldier On, a nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness and providing essential mental health resources. By collecting new adult winter apparel—including coats, thermal wear, and boots—at their Apple Street headquarters, the association aims to address the immediate physical needs of those who served while fostering a sense of dignity and community connection that is vital for long-term emotional well-being. info
