Count Basie’s ParkStage in Freehold is officially kicking off its season Wednesday at 6:15pm with a special Friends and Family Opening Night. This highly anticipated, free community event offers a perfect opportunity for local residents and families to gather at the brand new outdoor venue and experience top-tier acts peforming under the stars. Serving as the soft launch for it’s summer lineup, Wednesday night at ParkStage will feature local favorites The Cliffs with The Sensational Sun Cruisers.

The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners has announced that the Department of Public Works will host a walk-in Job Fair on Wednesday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their offices located at 250 Center St. in Freehold (info). The Monmouth County Park System has officially launched its seasonal, naturalist-led narrated boat tours at the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell, offering local families an affordable and educational 45-minute excursion on the water. Operating on weekends and holidays from May through October, these popular tours utilize a comfortable pontoon boat to guide visitors along the reservoir's scenic shoreline, where park naturalists provide engaging commentary on the area's rich ecological history and diverse wildlife.
