The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners announced that the annual Holiday Made in Monmouth expo, which has grown since its 2012 inception into a cherished tradition, will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Robert J. Collins Arena at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Division of Economic Development, highlighted that this year's event will be the biggest yet, featuring over 300 local vendors—all based in Monmouth County—offering a wide array of locally made products, including art, accessories, food, drink, jewelry, and home décor. The expo is touted as the perfect opportunity to complete holiday shopping while supporting the small business community, and it will also include opportunities to win prizes and offer free take-your-own photos with Santa. The Flying Pig Market is a new specialty grocery store in Asbury Park that just celebrated their ribbon cutting last Friday. It’s founded by former Glen Rock (Bergen County) Councilwoman Paula Gilligan and focused on conscious sourcing, community, and sustainability. The market specializes in curating consciously grown fresh foods, offering locally sourced and sustainable produce, meat, cheese, and eggs, alongside a wide range of healthy packaged items, all while being eco-friendly as well, prioritizing reusable, refillable, and single-use plastic shopping solutions.

The store serves as a friendly, convenient neighborhood market where shoppers can find everything they need. They also plan to soon offer grab-and-go meals (soups, salads, sandwiches), collaborate with local partners like Pasta Volo and Fernbrook Farms, host cooking demonstrations with organizations like NOFA, and employ local residents, emphasizing its deep commitment to community engagement. The store, located at 527 Bangs Avenue, celebrated its official grand opening on Friday, November 21st, and is now open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM.
