Good morning Monmouth County! Halloween is coming in hot with 26 different events this weekend. You’ve also got the Manasquan Inlet Tug of War which was rescheduled from last weekend, great music, MMA at iPlay America, and a Netflix series filming in Ocean Grove. So…kind of a lot going on.

🎥 THE FOUR SEASONS FILMING IN OCEAN GROVE

The Netflix Series “The Four Seasons” was filming in Ocean Grove this week and are set to be filming next week as well. We have confirmed celebrity sightings of Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, and Marco Calvino. It’s a fun little sightseeing expedition to see the whole Hollywood operation in your own backyard. Plus you can grab a coffee at Odyssey Coffee on Main Ave. while you’re in town.

If you haven’t seen The Four Seasons yet, it’s a dramedy that follows three couples who vacation together once every season. But their tradition gets upended when one of the couples divorces. We haven’t exactly binged it but we’ve watched several episodes so far and we like it. Funny even when it’s sad and a little sad even when it’s funny.

If we can make one recommendation to you this weekend it’s to check out Ron Artis II at Transparent Clinch Gallery. If you haven’t heard of this brilliant Hawaiian guitarist, think Gary Clark Jr. meets Jack Johnson. Or just pull up iTunes and listen. His blend of blues, jazz, funk, and folk is both simple and rich. He commands multiple instruments and delivers a deep soulful performance. Seeing Artis in an intimate setting like Transparent Clinch Gallery is going to be amazing. Thank us later.
